ख़्वाहिशें लिए चल पड़ा था मैं,उमींदों के समन्दर में।

गोतें लगाई तो पता चला,ज़िन्दगी के सफर में।

ख्वाहिशों की कोई दुनियां नहीं ज़िन्दगी के भाँवर में।

मैं यह भी कहता हूँ,ख़्वाहिशें न हो तो। 

क्या मजा है ज़िन्दगी से सफर में।।

ख़्वाहिशें है तो उमंग है।

बिन ख्वाहिशों के बे रंग है।

ख़्वाहिशें है तो जीने का ढंग है।

बिन ख़्वाहिशों के ये फीके बे रंग है।।

ख़्वाहिशें है तो मंजिलें दूर नहीं।

ख़्वाहिशें है तो हम मजबूर नहीं।

ख़्वाहिशें सीखा देती है ज़िन्दगी का शालिका।

ख़्वाहिशें नहीं तो हर इंसान है अकेला।।

बड़ी अजीब है ये ख़्वाहिशों की दुनियां।

गुद गुदाती और हँसती है ये ख़्वाहिशों की दुनियां।

कभी समझाती कभी रुलाती है ये ख्वाहिशों की दुनियां।

बड़ी अजीब होती है ये ख्वाहिशों की दुनियां।।
